# How to connect Yale

This guide shows you how to connect Yale smart locks to Guestway through Seam, so you can manage access codes in Guestway.

**Before you start**

* You have the **Super admin** role, or a role with access to integrations.
* Yale is in early access. It shows in the list, with the **Early Access** badge, only when Guestway has turned it on for your organization.
* You have the login of your Yale account.

## Connect the account through Seam

### Open the integrations

Go to **Settings** → **Organization** → **Integrations** and click **Create**.

### Choose Yale

Under **Smart Locks**, click **Yale**. In **Integration name**, keep the suggested name or enter your own.

### Sign in through Seam

Click **Secure Login via Seam.io**, then **Authenticate**. The Seam.io portal opens. Sign in with your Yale account, and allow access to your locks.

### Finish the connection

Back in Guestway, **Finalize** shows *Syncing will begin shortly.* Your locks arrive in Guestway soon after.

### Choose the locks to use

New Yale locks arrive unsubscribed. Open the integration and its smart lock tab, and tick **Subscribed** for each lock you want to manage in Guestway. See [How to choose which listings and devices sync](/integrations/integrations/how-to-choose-which-listings-and-devices-sync.md).

## Troubleshooting

Yale access codes have no on and off state. To end access early, change the end of the code, or delete the code.
