# How to create your organization

This guide shows you how to create the organization, the workspace in Guestway that holds your listings, your team and your settings.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Before you start**

* You have a Guestway account with a verified email address. See [How to create your Guestway account](/guestway_onboarding/how-to-create-your-guestway-account.md).
  {% endhint %}

## Create the organization

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Choose to create an organization

Guestway shows *Please join an existing organization or create a new organization.* Under **Create an organization**, click **Create**.

If your company already uses Guestway, do not create a new organization. Open the invitation email from your organization instead, and click **Accept** on the invitation. You can then skip to [How to invite your team](/guestway_onboarding/how-to-invite-your-team.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Name the organization

In **Name:**, enter the name of your company or brand, and click **Create**.

Guestway opens the next step: linking your PMS.

{% hint style="success" %}
Start with one organization for all your listings. You can add more organizations later, for example per region, building or brand.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Your properties come into the organization from your PMS, in the next step.

If Guestway shows *Reach out to your contact person to gain access to the Guestway application.*, email <support@guestway.io>, and Guestway finishes the setup of your access.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.guestway.io/guestway_onboarding/how-to-create-your-organization.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
