# How to create your Guestway account

This guide shows you how to register with your personal Guestway link and verify your email address.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Before you start**

* You have the personal registration link that Guestway sent you, usually by email. Without it, you cannot create an account.
  {% endhint %}

## Register

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open your registration link

Open the link from Guestway. Your sign-up page opens in three steps. If the link came with an invitation, your email address is already filled in.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Enter your details

On **Basic information**, enter your **Email address**, **First name** and **Last name**, and click **next**.

Use your work email address, so that the account belongs to your company.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose a password

On **Choose password**, enter a **Password** of at least 8 characters, enter it again in **Repeat password**, and click **next**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Accept the terms and register

On **Finishing up**, tick **Agree to Terms & Conditions** and click **Register**. You see *Registration was successful*.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Verify your email

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the verification email

Guestway shows *Please check your inbox & verify your email.* and sends you an email. Open it and click the link inside.

If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then click **Resend verification email**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Continue in Guestway

Back in Guestway, click **I have verified my email**. Guestway moves on to your organization.

If you see *Email not verified*, click the link in the email first, then try again.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.guestway.io/guestway_onboarding/how-to-create-your-guestway-account.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
