# How to connect your booking channels

This guide shows you how to connect Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia to Guestway, next to your PMS, for faster messages and more actions.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Before you start**

* You have the **Super Admin** role.
* Your PMS is connected. See [How to connect your PMS](/guestway_onboarding/how-to-connect-your-pms.md).
* You have admin access to the accounts of your booking channels.
  {% endhint %}

Your PMS stays the source of your reservations. Connect only the channels you use; each part of this page stands on its own and ends with a link to the full guide in the Academy.

## Connect Airbnb

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Sign in to the right Airbnb account

In your browser, sign in to the Airbnb account that you want to connect. Each Airbnb account is one integration.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose Airbnb

Go to **Settings** → **Organization** → **Integrations** and click **Create**. Under **Channels & OTAs**, click **Airbnb**. In **Integration name**, enter a name that tells the account apart, for example the brand or the region.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Allow access in Airbnb

Click **Secure Login via OAuth2**, then **Authenticate**. In Airbnb, check the permissions and click **Accept**. Back in Guestway, click **Finish**.

For another Airbnb account, sign in to it in your browser and repeat these steps.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Connect Booking.com

Do this part if your PMS is Apaleo or Mews. With another PMS, Booking.com messages already come through your PMS.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Copy the receiving email

Go to **Settings** → **Organization** → **Integrations** and click your Apaleo or Mews integration. In the card **OTA Messaging System**, copy the **Receiving email**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add Guestway as a contact

In the Booking.com extranet, go to **Account** → **Contacts** and click **Add contact**. Enter the **Name** *Guestway Integration*, the receiving email as **Email**, and **American English** as **Preferred language**. Save the contact as **Reservation Manager**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Keep only one **Reservation Manager** contact. If another one exists, remove it first. With more than one, messages do not appear in Guestway.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Turn on the message notifications

Go to **Account** → **Messaging preferences** → **General settings**. Under **Notifications**, turn on **A guest sends a message** and **A guest request is replied to automatically**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Allow Guestway to send messages

Go to **Messaging preferences** → **Security settings**. Under **Your email addresses**, click **Add email address** and add <noreply@ota-mail.guestway.io>. Make sure **Block all email communication** is off.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Full guide: [How to connect Booking.com](/integrations/online-travel-agencies-ota/booking.com.md).

## Connect Expedia

Do this part if your PMS does not already bring in Expedia messages.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Create the integration

Go to **Settings** → **Organization** → **Integrations** and click **Create**. Under **Channels & OTAs**, click **Expedia**. Enter the name of the property in **Integration name**, and the Expedia property ID in **Property ID**: the number after the *h* in the address of your Expedia listing. Click **No Credentials Required**, then **Connect**, then **Finish**.

Each Expedia property is its own integration.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add Guestway as a provider in Expedia

In your Expedia account, go to **Connectivity settings**. Under **Connected Service Providers**, click **Add a provider**, then search for Guestway and select it.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Ask Guestway to activate it

Email <support@guestway.io> and ask to activate the Expedia integration. Until Guestway has activated it, Expedia messages do not reach Guestway through it.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.guestway.io/guestway_onboarding/how-to-connect-your-booking-channels.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
